Project Sponsorship - a must attend event for Senior Managers

This research is well supported by Strategies for Project Sponsorship (by James, Rosenhead & Taylor published by Management Concepts, 2013) and points to the sponsor being a key person in project management.

Project sponsor training sets out to give project sponsors the relevant skills about their role and responsibilities. The programme can be half a day or a full day and can link into your own approach to project management within your company.

Research points to the sponsor having a critical role in project success, but the sponsor’s role has remained one that has had little or no attention. This one day course aims to rectify this.

We will explain what the role is and why it is so important to project management. We will also look at some research produced in this important area.

Mr Ron Rosenhead

Mr Ron Rosenhead is a Senior Consultant specialising in Project Management which includes, identifying project management needs, delivering projects effectively, project sponsorship, and a very wide range of training and development approaches that will aid the prospective project manager.

Ron holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management from Middlesex business School and a degree from Sheffield Hallam University (Public Administration with Industrial Psychology. He is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, Professional Speaking Association and a Fellow of the Royal Society.

Ron has worked throughout the UK working with a wide range of project management professionals. He has personally trained over 10,000 people on various project management courses.

He started his career in sales and moved in to research before establishing himself as a Trainer and Consultant. He has worked extensively with professionals across all companies and this includes the design and delivery of changes management programmes as well as management development programmes for groups of prospective leaders.

He moved into project management quite by chance some 20 years ago and has not looked back since. His interest is in ensuring that companies have the right capacity (numbers) and right capability (skills) in place to deliver the real changes they inevitably will need to move their company agenda forward

His experience covers most industrial sectors and has consulted throughout the UK as well as parts of Europe.

Besides undertaking training, Ron also, writes and designs learning materials, writes a regular blog and is an author of eLearning training materials. In addition, he has written books on project management and spoken at conferences – all on project management topics.
