The hands-on workshop is best suited for gradeschool teachers handling grades 1 to 3. Participants will learn the various bar-models used to solve one-step to two-step word problems using four operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
Various bar-model strategies such as: Part-whole, comparison, repeated identity and combination models will be taught through examples, hands-on exercises and best practices in teaching Singapore Math. Examples are carefully crafted so participants will
surely learn the secrets to the use of bar-models in solving word problems.
