Christina Pang AIFD
Christina is a consumer electronics engineer turned accomplished floral designer, with her roots in professional floristry beginning as a curious flower hobbyist. Since her early days operating a retail shop on her own, she has received much recognition for her work, claiming the title of Champion for the amateur category in the first FDSS Floral Designing Competition just one year into the industry. Christina then underwent the tutelage of acclaimed master florists Gregor Lersch, Brigitte Heinrichs and Per Benjamin and was inducted into the prestigious American Institute of Floral Designers in 2004. She then served as President of the Floral Designers Society (Singapore) for from 2009 to 2011 and has been invited to judge numerous local and international floral competitions. Most notably, she was on the panel for UK floral design magazine Fusion Flowers’ International Designer of the Year and was the first Asian judge in the Finnish Florists’ Association Championship in 2011. In 2014, she garnered the Silver award for her spectacular floral installation at the popular Singapore Garden Festival, under the “Floral Windows to the World” category. Other recent achievement includes the bronze award at the Interflora Flower Expo Competition in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam held in March 2016. A firm advocate of grooming the next generation of florists, Christina was appointed Chairman of the curriculum development committee at the Institute of Technical Education for floristry in 2013 and 2015. Inspite of her busy work commitments, Christina undertook a part-time program in Business Management studies from 2014 to 2015. Her diligence and hard work paid off when she graduated as the top student of her cohort. Even after 19 years since her career switch, Christina is still very passionate about her work and floral designing. Nature is very much close to Christina’s heart and this can be seen in many of her floral works. One of her key design criteria is to always incorporate natural elements in floral designing as much as possible because she feels that nature is around us and has much to offer if only one takes a closer look. At present, she is the Manager and Head Instructor at CreativeWorkz (by Far East Flora.com Pte Ltd) - a floral training school established to provide the pertinent knowledge and skills for the floristry workforce. She has a special interest in developing future floral designers and her dedication is evident when she mentored and provided guidance to floral enthusiasts for competitions; and nurturing them to showcase their full potential as floral designers.

The Institute of Philippine Floral Techniques is the first school of its kind in the Philippines that formally teaches the art and science of floral design. Whether one is already in the flower trade, an enthusiast or one who does not know a thing about arranging flowers, the program is comprehensive and designed with the end result of arming students with all the knowledge and skills to execute their own designs.

IPHFT was established to address the need to professionalize the Philippine floral industry and to instruct and guide floral enthusiasts and those in the trade to pursue their passions in a formal setting. The school is comprised of acknowledged industry leaders and is supported by both Philippine and international trade related groups and companies. IPhFT seeks to formalize and standardize floral arranging not just as an art but as a science and trade.
