A. DESCRIPTION
This course involves a basic and intermediate tutorial with kids and adults from ages 5y/o-21y/o and above. Emphases are on development of basic artistic skills, visualization, and creativity of each student towards arts and crafts. It is an exploratory, first course in Arts and Crafts primarily for students planning to enroll in the regular-program Fine Arts courses upon discovering the student's passion and interest towards Arts. However, it also meets the needs of many students with other interests; as a refresher course in Fine Arts, a course for upgrading Artistic skills, or a course that provides students with a general "feel" for the subject of Arts and Crafts.

B. ORGANIZATION
This is an Art Workshop in which different Art methods are presented by the Art instructor, practice drawings/paintings are explained, and assigned drawings/paintings mainly preferred by the students are completed by students during class period. The Art Workshop is also a preparation for the beginning a regular-program Fine Arts courses. Fine Arts students generally have had neither high school or other Fine Arts training, nor experience in Arts and Crafts employment. So when students in this Art Workshop proceed to the regular-program Fine Arts courses, if they do, they will be at approximately the same level of expertise as those who have had previous training or experience.
