Rony Fortich is a musical director, arranger, composer, and accompanist., driving a musical career in two countries. In 12 years since he started in 2005 as the Music Director of Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, he made magical music for the Park since its grand opening in 2005 and oversaw all of the Park’s musical requirements, from special events; seasonal events to working with vocalists; musicians performing
in the shows. He composed several songs used in various parades and events, including “Halloween Tonight” for Jack Skellington’s Glow in the Park Halloween Parade, “Hangin’ Loose” for Stitch’s Summer Dance Bash, “Jumpin’ in the New Year” for Chinese New Year, “Celebration in the Air” for Hong Kong Disneyland’s 5th anniversary, "Find Your Light” for the Show Your Disney Side campaign of Hong Kong
Disneyland for the Philippines, and "Everybody's Here" for the Halloween celebration. In 2013, he received the Walt Disney Legacy Award for his contribution to the resort.
Before he moved to Hongkong, Rony was highly involved with Manila’s musical theater scene, working with various theater companies such as Trumpets, Atlantis Productions, Actor’s Actors Inc., and Repertory Philippines. In 2013, Rony was Musical Director for the CCP “Triple Threat” shows of the first lady of Philippine theater, Menchu Lauchengco-Yulo, and the leading man of Philippine theater, Audie
Gemora. He also wrote the music for Upstart Productions’ “Breakups and Breakdowns,” Blue Repertory’s “Stages of Love,” Trumpets’ “N.O.A.H.”, and the award-winning “The Bluebird of Happiness,” which won eight 2013 BroadwayWorld Philippines Awards including Best Score, Best Musical Direction, and Best Musical, and two Gawad Buhay Awards for Best Musical and Best Musical for Children. In December 2014 and 2015, “The Bluebird of Happiness” was produced in Hong Kong by
MQ studios and enjoyed a month-long run at the Academy of Performing Arts. Every year, Rony headlines a concert gathering of Manila's finest theater artists in a show called "Best Seat in the House." For his musical achievements, he was also awarded as one of the Outstanding Young Men of the Philippines in 2015.

This is the 2nd year that Rony is conducting Musical Theater Workshops at the BGC Arts Center in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.
